Austrian psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor whose Man's Search for Meaning is one of the most influential books of the 20th century. Drawing on his experiences in Nazi concentration camps, he developed logotherapy, a form of psychotherapy centered on the search for meaning. The book has sold tens of millions of copies.
