Angle of Repose

Wallace Stegner was an American novelist, short story writer, and environmentalist often called the 'Dean of Western American Letters.' His novel Angle of Repose won the Pulitzer Prize in 1972, and he was a tireless advocate for the preservation of wilderness in the American West.
