William Eastlake was a New Mexico novelist who wrote a trilogy of Navajo Country novels—Go in Beauty, The Bronc People, and Portrait of an Artist with Twenty-Six Horses—that are unique fusions of Western myth, Modernist form, and Indigenous culture.
