Alain Mabanckou
Congolese novelist and poet who writes in French and is widely read in English translation. Blue White Red won the Grand Prix de Littérature de l'Afrique and Memoirs of a Porcupine won the Prix Renaudot. He is the most internationally celebrated Francophone African novelist.
