Alex Haley
Alex Haley was an American author whose novel Roots: The Saga of an American Family sparked a national conversation about African-American history when it was published in 1976 and adapted into a landmark television miniseries. He also co-authored The Autobiography of Malcolm X, one of the most significant American nonfiction works of the 20th century.
