Annie Proulx
Annie Proulx is an American novelist and short story writer known for her spare, unsentimental prose and her vivid portraits of rural American life. Her novel The Shipping News won both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award, and her short story Brokeback Mountain was adapted into an acclaimed film.
