Anthony Berkeley
Anthony Berkeley was a leading figure in the Detection Club and Golden Age mystery fiction, writing clever, self-reflexive detective novels that questioned the genre's conventions. As Francis Iles, he wrote psychological crime novels including Malice Aforethought that anticipated the modern thriller. He is credited with founding the Detection Club alongside Agatha Christie.
