Dirk Pattens

Dirk Bogarde was a British actor who also wrote crime thrillers under his own name and created notable works about his own life. His A Particular Friendship and other novels drew on his experiences in the film industry and the European social world he inhabited. He was an accomplished writer of considerable literary quality.
