Eleanor Hibbert
Eleanor Hibbert was a prolific British novelist who wrote under numerous pen names, most famously Jean Plaidy for her historical fiction and Victoria Holt for her Gothic romances. She wrote nearly 200 novels in total and sold over 100 million copies, making her one of the best-selling British novelists of the 20th century.
