Frederick Herzberg was an American psychologist whose Two-Factor Theory of motivation distinguished between hygiene factors that prevent dissatisfaction and true motivators that produce satisfaction. His 1968 Harvard Business Review article "One More Time: How Do You Motivate Employees?" is the most reprinted article in the journal's history.
