Fritz Leiber was an American author who made major contributions to fantasy, science fiction, and horror, coining the term sword and sorcery. His Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser stories helped define the heroic fantasy subgenre with wit, sophistication, and moral ambiguity. He won multiple Hugo and Nebula Awards throughout his long career.
