Michael Moorcock
Michael Moorcock is a British author and editor whose concept of the Eternal Champion spanning many incarnations across the multiverse redefined the possibilities of fantasy fiction. His Elric of Melnibone stories introduced the archetype of the brooding anti-hero wielding a soul-drinking sword. As editor of New Worlds magazine he championed the New Wave movement in science fiction.
