Gladys Mitchell
Gladys Mitchell was a British mystery writer who created the unconventional detective Mrs Beatrice Adela Lestrange Bradley, a crone-like figure who solved mysteries with acerbic wit. Her novels were among the most individual in Golden Age detective fiction, refusing the usual conventions in favor of a distinctly eccentric personal vision. She was a founding member of the Detection Club.
