Margery Allingham
Margery Allingham was the fourth of the great Queens of Golden Age mystery fiction, creator of the whimsical gentleman detective Albert Campion. Her novels evolved from light comedy thrillers to darker, more psychologically complex narratives as her career progressed. Traitor's Purse and The Tiger in the Smoke are considered among the finest British crime novels of the 20th century.
