Ian Pears
Ian Pears is a British art historian and novelist whose An Instance of the Fingerpost is one of the most ambitious and structurally complex historical crime novels ever written. Set in Restoration Oxford and told from four contradictory perspectives, it was an immediate critical and commercial success. His art expert Jonathan Argyll series is set in contemporary Italy.
