Julie Smith
Julie Smith is an American crime writer who won the Edgar Award for New Orleans Mourning, the first in her Skip Langdon series set in the atmospheric world of New Orleans society. Her Rebecca Schwartz series is set in San Francisco. Her novels are noted for their strong sense of place and their satirical observation of American social life.
