Jussi Adler-Olsen is a Danish crime writer whose Department Q series, featuring the abrasive detective Carl Mørck and his unlikely team, has become one of the most successful crime franchises in Europe. The series has sold over 16 million copies in Denmark alone and is hugely popular internationally. The novels combine police procedural with thriller plotting.
