Laurell K. Hamilton
Laurell K. Hamilton is an American author whose Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series created the urban fantasy detective novel as a genre. Her protagonist's combination of monster-hunting with romantic entanglements and police procedures established a template that has been widely imitated. The early novels in the series are considered classics of urban fantasy.
