Leonardo Padura
Leonardo Padura is a Cuban novelist whose Mario Conde detective series, set in contemporary Havana, is one of the most important crime series in Latin American literature. His novels expose the corruption and failure of Cuban revolutionary society while maintaining genuine affection for their Havana setting. He won the Princess of Asturias Award for Literature.
