Ngaio Marsh
Ngaio Marsh was one of the Four Queens of Golden Age detective fiction, alongside Christie, Sayers, and Allingham. Her detective Roderick Alleyn of Scotland Yard featured in 32 novels that blended impeccably plotted mysteries with theatrical milieu, reflecting her career as a theater director. She was made a Dame of the British Empire for services to literature.
