Richard North Patterson
Richard North Patterson is an American lawyer-turned-novelist who brought serious political and social issues to the legal thriller and contemporary political novel. His Christopher Paget series established his name, and he has also written major novels about gun violence, abortion, and Middle Eastern policy. He worked in the Securities and Exchange Commission before turning to fiction.
