Sarah Waters
Sarah Waters is a Welsh author whose literary neo-Victorian Gothic and crime novels are among the most acclaimed in contemporary British fiction. Fingersmith, a Victorian thriller involving crime, deception, and passion, won the Somerset Maugham Award and was adapted into both a British television series and the Korean film The Handmaiden. Her ghost novel The Little Stranger was shortlisted for the Booker Prize.
