Tarquin Hall
Tarquin Hall is a British journalist whose Vish Puri Most Private Investigator series brings an affectionate, satirical portrait of Indian middle-class life to the detective novel format. His fat, mustachioed Delhi detective is one of crime fiction's most endearing protagonists, and the novels are genuinely funny as well as engaging as mysteries.
