Terry Brooks
Terry Brooks is an American fantasy author whose debut novel The Sword of Shannara became the first fantasy novel to appear on the New York Times bestseller list, opening the mainstream market to epic fantasy after Tolkien. He has written dozens of novels in the Shannara and Magic Kingdom series. His work helped establish the commercial viability of the genre.
