Will Henry

Will Henry was the pen name of Henry Wilson Allen, whose Western novels were distinguished by their historical authenticity, moral seriousness, and literary quality. He won five Spur Awards and his work elevated the Western well above its pulp origins. From Where the Sun Now Stands, about the Nez Perce War, is considered a masterpiece of American historical fiction.
