Edmund Crispin
Edmund Crispin was the pen name of Bruce Montgomery, a composer and Oxford graduate whose detective Gervase Fen was one of the great comic creations in British crime fiction. His novels combined farcical humor with intricate plotting in the tradition of John Dickson Carr. The Moving Toyshop is widely considered a comedy masterpiece of the genre.
