Jack London was one of the most prolific and popular American writers of the early 20th century, celebrated for his adventure stories set in Alaska, the Pacific, and the Far East. The Call of the Wild and White Fang remain beloved classics, and The Sea-Wolf is one of the finest adventure novels in American literature. He was also a committed socialist and social commentator.
