Kij Johnson is an American fantasy author and professor whose short fiction has won multiple Hugo, Nebula, and World Fantasy Awards. The Fox Woman and Fudoki reimagine classical Japanese literature through a fantasy lens. She is one of the finest short story writers working in the genre.
