Laurie R. King
Laurie R. King is an American crime writer whose Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes series is one of the most acclaimed Holmesian pastiches, depicting Holmes in his retirement as the mentor and husband of a young female detective. Her Kate Martinelli series is also celebrated. She received the Edgar Award for her debut The Beekeeper's Apprentice.
