Ralph Compton

Ralph Compton was an American Western writer who created the Trail Drive series, one of the most popular Western series of the 1990s, depicting the great cattle drives of the post-Civil War era with historical accuracy and narrative vigor. His novels were posthumously continued by other authors. He is one of the most widely read Western writers of recent decades.
