Walter M. Miller Jr.
Walter M. Miller Jr. was an American science fiction author whose A Canticle for Leibowitz is one of the most celebrated and theologically sophisticated science fiction novels ever written. Its three-part structure spanning thousands of years traces humanity's post-nuclear cycles of destruction and rebuilding, with a Catholic monastery as the guardian of knowledge.
