Brian Aldiss
Brian Aldiss was a British science fiction author and critic who was one of the most significant figures in the genre over six decades. Helliconia is his masterwork, a trilogy depicting a planet with centuries-long seasons. He was also an important historian and theorist of science fiction, arguing in Billion Year Spree that Mary Shelley wrote the first true SF novel.
