Norman Spinrad is an American science fiction author and literary provocateur who was one of the most controversial figures in the New Wave. Bug Jack Barron is a savage satire of television and political power that was banned in the UK. The Iron Dream reimagines Adolf Hitler as a science fiction author writing a novel that is itself the book. His work is the most politically confrontational in the genre.
