Wilkie Collins
Wilkie Collins was a Victorian sensation novelist who created two of the first detective novels in English literature, The Woman in White and The Moonstone. His complex, multi-narrator structure and tightly plotted mysteries were enormously influential on the detective fiction tradition. He was a close friend and collaborator of Charles Dickens.
